
Christopher C. Wheeler
Deputy Director
Chris Wheeler joined the Committee as Deputy Director in May 2007.
Prior to joining the Committee, Mr. Wheeler practiced law for over four years with Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin in San Francisco.
Before law school, and during the 1997-1998 East Asian financial crisis, Mr. Wheeler was an Assistant Economist in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Emerging Markets Group. At the New York Fed, he monitored economic and financial developments in emerging markets for the purpose of analyzing country risk.
Mr. Wheeler graduated from Harvard Law School in 2002. He graduated from Williams College, Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, in 1996 with a B.A. degree in Economics.
